Keinon Johnson has become a powerful force in the entertainment and social activism realms. Outside of his executive role in music, he has created movements that speak to the needs of today’s future leaders. A few years back Keinon created the wildly successful “Never Sold Dope” campaign with his own Maven Brand clothing line and company. With “Never Sold Dope” Keinon’s primary goal was to change the narrative of what it means to obtain success as a person of color in America.
The humble mogul, who was born in Atlanta, spent the first 18 years of his life in New York City where he grew up before returning to the south to attend Clark Atlanta University graduating in 1997. Keinon’s family, consisting of his wife Katrina and baby girl Gabrielle, are his main motivation for pursuing new goals and achieving future career success in Entertainment.
His passion for music & the arts was formed early on, Throughout his 21 year career in the music business he has achieved success at several major labels including Priority Records, MCA, Geffen and Interscope Records where he currently serves as Vice President of Urban Promotions. Most recently Keinon was appointed to the board of trusties for The High Museum of Art in Atlanta GA and looks to forward to using his social currency to merge his music and Art influences together culturally for the greater good of his community.
