JoJo Brim is the Head of Hip Hop and R&B for MyMy Music. In this role, Brim works directly with emerging independent artists and producers to help them optimize their digital profile and increase fan engagement. JoJo’s two decades of Hip-Hop and R&B experience lifts the ceiling for grassroots independent artists using MyMy’s platform. Now at the point position for the fast-growing streaming music platform, he recognizes an opportunity for emerging artists to get their music heard. In addition to his role with MyMy, JoJo heads Playbook Entertainment, where he works closely with the newly relaunched Arista Records. Over the span of 2 decades, as a manager and A&R executive, Brim broke some of the music industry’s most relevant artists. During stints with Island Def Jam Music Group, Atlantic Records, LaFace Records, and KWL Management, he supported a long list of talented artists, including Trey Songz, Big Sean, PNB Rock, London on Da Track, Case, Musiq Soulchild, Dru Hill well as newcomers like NBDY, Kev Rodgers, Niko Brim, and Snypa, to name a few.
JoJo says, “I’ve spent the better part of my career with record labels producing, signing and managing talent, and there’s just no way labels, or managers can hear everything. This platform allows listeners to judge tracks, and the best music comes out on top every day.” CEO Shawn Pouliotte adds, “We’re coupling our platform’s ability to find the best independent artists, with JoJo’s ability to coach them to success.”
JoJo lives in New York City, where he spends some of his time away from the office as a Life Coach and Certified Transformation Trainer working with people from all over the world to create the life they dream about.
