Henny Yegezu started his career in the DC area as a promoter and talent buyer, which eventually led to the discovery of hip-hop artist GoldLink. He executive produced his first project, began to manage him full time, and eventually helped ink his 2016 deal with RCA Records. Developing his career led to laying the foundation for EQT (Equative Thinking), an LA-based full service music company that is currently a record label in direct partnership with Universal Music Group, as well as an independent artist management company. As the co-CEO and founder of EQT, he has contributed to pushing the culture forward by focusing mainly on artist development with acts who usually come off slightly left of center. The EQT team is between LA and New York, with a roster that includes Smino, Masego, GoldLink, Tommy Genesis, Berhana, JPEGMAFIA, as well as a handful of other artists, producers, and songwriters.
