Ericka J. Coulter

Music Executive & Entrepreneur, Ericka J. Coulter is making her mark in entertainment breaking
boundaries as a woman in music. With over a decade of experience refining the craft of artist
development, management and event production, as well as a proven track record achieving sales and
exposure goals, she is currently Vice President of A&R at Epic Records, owner of Instor3 Management,
producer of LA’s hottest concert experience, TheBasement.

Throughout her career she’s worked for lnterscope and Capitol Records, and A&R’d projects for 21
Savage, Rick Ross, Keyshia Cole, Jidenna, A.CHAL, LONR and more. Learning quick what it took to be a
great A&R and a respected executive, she understood early that her best work wouldn’t come from
sitting behind a desk, but that it would come from being part of the culture.

Her dedication to facilitating key brand partnerships and fostering lasting relationships has led her to
work with established and emerging artists alike, as well as inspired the creation of her management
and branding company, Instor3.

After leaving Interscope to dedicate time to her entrepreneurial endeavors and take on acclaimed
producer and songwriter Harmony Samuels as a client, her work garnered the attention and respect of
LA Reid, who eventually brought her into the Epic Records family.
She has also spent the last 2 years creating and curating TheBasement Series, an artist-driven initiative
founded under Instor3 that has since started a creative content partnership with Issa Rae and attracted
the attention of brand sponsors such as Dropbox, Essentia Water, Beats By Dre, Airbnb, Lyft and Jack
Daniels, among others. Now in its second year, the highly-acclaimed series has made headlines in The
Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly,, Essence and Billboard Magazine.
